Brazilian gamer behavior, trends and consumption

About PGB 18

The Brazilian Game Research is in its 5th edition, bringing the current game market scenario together with several approaches regarding gaming platforms and consumer habits.
Data from PGB 18 were collected between February and March 2018th. We obtained more than 2,853 unique respondents in this period who were questioned about their demographic and behavioral profile, as well as several peculiarities about digital games and their consumption habits. We interviewed people from all social classes, focusing on classes A, B and C.

The Survey indicates that 75.5% of Brazilians play electronic games, regardless of the platform. Meanwhile, 30% of respondents said that they consume board games, 34.9% play card games and 24.1% play block games.

When asked about which platforms they usually play, we noticed that the smartphone proved to be the most used one, an information observed in PGB 17 that was reinforced that year. The three most used platforms are the smartphone (84%), console (46%) and computer (45%).
